Megan Banet- Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide.

Megan originally hails from Southern Indiana, where most of her family still lives. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern Indiana, she earned a master’s degree in clinical psychology with a focus on children and adolescents from Southern Illinois University.

In 2012, Megan began working as a prevention educator at the Memphis Child Advocacy Center, one of the nation’s oldest child advocacy centers. There, she provided Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children child sexual abuse prevention program and Building Strong Brains Tennessee, the state’s ACEs initiative. She was named Darkness to Light’s Facilitator of the Year in 2018 and has trained over 14,000 adults in the program.

In 2020, Megan returned to her home state of Indiana and 2026 IPEC Steering Committee Biosjoined the Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide. She currently serves as Director of Programs, guiding the organization’s efforts in child sexual abuse prevention, digital safety, and youth suicide prevention.

Caitlin Segraves-Indiana Department of Health

Caitlin Segraves has worked in the violence prevention space since 2021 and has worked as the Violence Prevention Program Director at the Indiana Department of Health for the past 3 years. She brings knowledge and expertise in sexual violence prevention and trauma-informed care. Originally from Texas, Caitlin has found a home in Indianapolis and works to serve all Hoosiers.

Alyssa Clark - Zoey’s Place Child Advocacy Center

Alyssa Clark is the Program Coordinator at Zoey’s Place Child Advocacy Center, where she provides forensic interviews, victim advocacy, and leads the center’s prevention education initiatives. With nearly 10 years of experience in child welfare, Alyssa is deeply committed to supporting families during times of crisis and helping them navigate challenging experiences with compassion and understanding. She is also passionate about empowering communities through prevention education, fostering awareness and resilience to help keep children safe.

Shana Robertson - Fair Haven Rape Crisis Center

Shana joined Fair Haven RCC’s mission in 2014 with a passion for building partnerships and challenging belief systems through education. She believes that meaningful collaboration and prevention-focused education are vital steps toward eradicating sexual violence in our communities.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences from Purdue University Northwest, with focused coursework in Communication, Women’s Studies, and Child Development.

In recognition of her work, Shana received the Outstanding Service Award from the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault in 2018. She was also nominated as an Up & Coming Influential Woman in Non-Profit by the Northwest Indiana Influential Women’s Association and most recently received the Glass Half-Full Award in 2024 from the Indiana Prevention Education Coalition.

Shana finds joy in serving her community, cherishing time with her family and friends, and honoring her faith. Known for spreading whimsical fun wherever she goes, she continues to inspire hope and action in every space she enters.

Sara Hoyt

Sara Hoyt - Dunebrook Child Advocacy Center

Sara Hoyt has been working in the abuse prevention world for over 13 years and has served as Dunebrook's Public Education Director since 2017. In this time, she has had the opportunity to provide abuse prevention education to schools across Northwest Indiana and has grown to cover over 115 schools annually with her dedicated team. She and her Public Education Team are proud members of IPEC to help generate awareness, initiate prevention strategies, and support restorative services to end sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking of children in Indiana.
